Newtra Food is a young and innovative startup founded in 2020 by Maurizio Palmitessa.
In 2021 the startup was selected by Invitalia among the 10 most promising startups of Southern Italy in agri-food field and took part to the acceleration program Bravo Innovation Hub.
In 2023 their circular-economy project wins the first edition of the Food Social Impact Awards, a competition organised by the Italian magazine “Food”.
Patents, partnerships and investment
Since its inception, the partnership with the University of Foggia (Apulia) has been fundamental for the R & D of innovative products.
In a few years the research led to the patenting of a production process and the publication of scientific articles in international journals.
In 2023, SIPAL S.p.A., a company that operates in the field of advanced engineering, invests in Newtra Food’s project.
